Windows Azure World Tour 2009

worldtour[1]The Windows Azure World Tour is starting soon!  I’m personally hoping to make it to a couple of these.  From the World Tour website:

“In this session aimed at decision makers, David Chappell looks at the Windows Azure platform and what it means for ISVs, custom software development firms and enterprises. The topics he’ll cover include:

  • An overview of the Windows Azure platform: Technology and business model
  • The cloud platform context: Google, Amazon, Salesforce.com, and more
  • Using the Windows Azure platform: Application scenarios”

There are stops in the US in Boston, Chicago, Reston, Dallas, and Mountain View, and there are international stops in London, Munich, Paris, Tokyo, Bangalore, and Mumbai.

I think you’ll really enjoy the presentation by David Chappell.  I had the opportunity to watch him present recently, and he does a fantastic job of explaining the platform in a way that’s interesting, informative, and easy to understand.

Let me know if you’re going to attend one of the events and what you’re hoping to learn.

btw. do you know if there will be spots about the presentations on channell 8 like those one about the PDC 2008 in LA?

shows hyperlinks for USA events but not yet for elsewhere. Just a tantalising "London – Oct 6", so trying to get a seat for this.

Unclear if this is being pitched at ISV Manager/DEV/IT-Tech audience. Personally I'd like to see a 2-hour start-finish demo showing all the steps incl STS, ACS and SQL. I'd be lots less keen on another marketecture jaunt.
